MainStreet Designs Inc. History

• Founded in 1991 by Charles Downs in Golden Valley, MN, MainStreet Designs Inc. began its journey with a focus on crafting banners using marine acrylic fabric for cities and municipalities around the country.

• Assisted by a small team of employees, Charles gradually established the company’s presence. In the subsequent years, a pivotal development emerged as Charles’s son, Mike Downs, stepped in, contributing his efforts to sales and production operations.

• MainStreet Designs diversified its offerings, introducing a range of banner fabrics, holiday decorations, and bannerware.

• Fast forward to 2023, and MainStreet Designs has its name as a frontrunner in the banner manufacturing industry. This remarkable journey underscores the company’s evolution from its modest inception to its current stature of leadership and innovation.
